1985 D/D? Die Wear Obvious But Maybe An RPM?

This one caught my eye. The leg of the D appears to have split serifs but I don't see anything like it listed. It almost looks like a broken D directly over another D. Thoughts?

Looks like a normal cent. The mint mark has striation lines on the top north side. (Machine damaged) The upper appearance of the notching, it part of the striation that follow around the corner of the NW part of the mint mark. You can also see striation lines on the lower serif. Unusual looking, but it is not a RPM. A RPM would rise from the field enlarging the overall size of the mint mark. I'm not seeing that on this coin.

The following year there was an issue with a damaged punch that looked like a RPM. But the areas in question didn't follow the same design as the mint mark:

Probably not at this point. The striation lines are often caused by MD that pushes the devices in a certain direction. The metal edge transfers by this movement. It is kind of like taking a kitchen knife and moving the blade over soft butter. You can see the imperfections of the knifes edge that way. That is the same principle on metal striations:

I see it, in fact the 5 in the date is affected too.
