I think this is a slightly earlier stage then the listing shows: http://cuds-on-coins.com/ldb4-1957/

I did not look online to see if I agree with your attribution. Not that my opinion really maters.

I do know the I have a lot (subjective term) of "BIE" errors that I would like to identify.

I presume you are correct. I any case it is fun to identify your finds. Enjoy yours.

Nice one. BIE's like everything else are getting harder to come by. Attributing can be a chore.

That's one sweet BIE Pete. It's one of the few that actually looks like an I.

Thanks, all, for your comments. I do enjoy finding these. If I find one I cannot attribute, I usually contact BJ or JC to see if they have an interest in listing it. This one was easy because of the markers - especially the E in ONE!

I've noticed that sometimes the I in BIE is similar to a listed one but not quite the same - so the question arises: is it the same and just a different die state? That is where the markers help.

There are 193 "1957" listings in the BIE Handbook and 98 in the "THE CLASSIFICATION AND VALUE OF ERRORS ON THE Lincoln Cent" by Jean Cohen. Only the 1957D and the 1960D have more listings.
