It's one of the common die pairings, I think an R-1 on the rarity scale. Probably a $5-10 coin you have there.

I like it ... It will stay in my collection.

I like making up stories about coins like this....

Like ...

I got it from a guy who said his great grandfather took this coin off some
original grave markers he was replacing in Arlington. It was nailed to
a army Sargent who was killed at Gettysburg.
