Looks like Machine Doubling to me. Wait for coop to chime in. He will probably give you much more information than me and if you're lucky maybe some pictures

I'm not really sure if that serif below the main spread is split. If it is you might have something.

HT - can you get better shots (more direct) of the MM? And have you compared it to Dr. Wiles listings for the date?

I don't think I can get anything better than that. Took me 10 tries to get this one. I did look at the website but didn't find a match.

I understand. What's your method for taking shots?

Your tenth pic wasn't too bad, but for accurate opinions, sometimes it requires eleven or more. The practice will make you a better photographer.

I have to admit: I get excited about getting back to the hunt that I lag on many of my shots. Lighting mainly. I need to figure out a new lighting set up on my new desk. Fix the lighting...CRH...fix the lighting...CRH? I tend to leave the lighting...and CRH.

I understand Rackster. These days I hang the light cord on a hook in the ceiling and put the coin on 45 degree angle.

My method? Simple.
Take a loop and try to see the doubling with my eye. When I spotted it, I hold the coin and the loop with 2 fingers while I play with my iPad to get the camera app open. Snap and upload. That is the only camera I have.

You might experiment with the lighting some.

HT - is there any way you can build a platform of about 3-4" out of books? Rest the iPad on the books and then use the zoom feature on the pad to crop a picture of the full ccin in focus. As CM notes, you might experiment with the lighting to reduce glare and shadows.

For zooming through the loupe, you might try to build a smaller platform for that to trap the loupe between it and the pad or try to hold it freehand and snap the picture with the other.

I keep looking for a loup to take pics through, but I don't know which would work the best.
Here is another picture. There appears to be notching on the bottom of the P as well.

Might be 017. Can you get a full shot of the reverse?
