High all!
Picked this up yesterday at a coin store from the half-off bin and am curious to get thoughts on this as to whether this is good/bad/indifferent toning? And I'm assuming with this being a proof it would be considered FBL? What kind of value do you think this could fetch? Grade estimates?

I love it.
That's my 2 cents about your 50 cents.

Thanks JBuck and BigSilver. It is in hard plastic but not encapsulated. Should it be sent for grading or not worth it?

That is certainly pleasing toning. It really gets ugly when it reaches the dark side of brown terminal stage of toning.

I would not send it in for grading. I would enjoy it as it is.

I would say don't send it to a TPG. I also would go indifferent on the toning. but some collectors enjoy the album toning. What really matters is if you enjoy the toning.

That is a beautiful coin. Proof coins do not have the FBL designation. It is taken for granted that all proof coins will have the FBL.

Thanks for the clarification on the proofs not getting the FBL designation. And thanks all for the feedback!

Indeed a super example, though probably not worth the slabbing cost.

If it doesn't have hairlines, its worth a significant premium over the $22 a PF 65 would bring. Its maybe a $40 coin.

Thanks everyone. I think it was a pretty good find for $12.
