I don't collect pressed pennies but I was wondering if anyone knows if it was made before 9/11 and if it would be worth anything to a collector.

Well the cent was made in 1982 or later (because it is copper over a zinc core). Sometimes you can still make out the date of the coin on these things. Hold the coin at an angle and use a strong light--any luck with that? In terms of value, that is beyond my area of expertise, but a quick interwebs search shows these things with buy-it-now pricing of about $1.50. I don't know if the subject matter adds a premium.

Looks pre-9/11 to me (not 100% sure tho)

heres something heart breaking I found in a seller's description of one of these:

Unless the die for the machine were removed before the day, it would be from before they date in question. As the machines would probably been on/in an area that tourist would be allowed to go. Lo0bby areas observation deck etc. and would not have survived. As been stated even with the subject matter it would bring at most a couple of bucks. I'm not a elongated coin collector as such but do collect them when I come across them in by searches for tokens.
