So I was given this coin a few weeks ago and have been researching when I get the chance but very little comes up in English.

Any help is greatly appreciated from those who know anything.

Thanks in advance

It is a medal commemorating the 1824 death of Cardinal Ercole Consalvi, the Papal Secretary of State under Pope Pius VII. I am not familiar with this particular medal so I cannot give you any information regarding rarity or value.

A hack was made in 1817 by Pope Pius VII on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Cardinal.
The other two were placed there in 1824 by the First Committee Consalviano born immediately after the death of Cardinal. The authors were Girometti and Cerbara.
In these states:
R. / QUO FAS ET GLORIA DU
In the field at the center, pompous Minerva, helmeted, front, facing left, holding in his right hand and rudder with the left launches vertically; in right field, stone with the snake coiled, olive branch, and, above, the owl standing left with frontal headache; in the field, at the center, under the dell'esergo cut: DE AMICOR - Sententia / ROMAE MDCCCXXIV. (AE 54 mm.)

Well that was quick! Makes me look like I didn't even try...

Maybe research in the PC rather than phone would sometimes help.

Thanks for the info guys, had a feeling it wasn't a count as didn't note any value figures denoted on either face.

Have to try find out more of if it's missing any other part if it's a medal.

Thanks again
