Does anyone know where the best place to sell silver coins at? A dealer who will give you a fair price? I have a fair amount of halves quarters and dimes I want to unload and invest in other thing with it!
I hope I posted this right
Thanks

Check with your local dealers and find out what they are paying. Just today I sold 293 40% Kennedys for just over $600....$2.10 per coin. It wasn't quite melt value but it was pretty close. I turned around and bought $450 worth of Franklins, Walkers, and Morgans. I also got a few Lincoln cents to almost complete that set. I got the Franklins for $6.50 each, the Walkers for $7.00 each, and the Morgans for $18.00 each. No key or semi-keys but still a nice pile of coins to fill up some spots in my collection.

Yeah. Just get on the phone and call a couple dealers. As of today, 11 or 12 times face value would be a very fair price. I don't think all dealers are "into" buying silver, so don't be put off is someone says "9 times face". It's not an insult, it's just that they don't want to be bothered with it.

Another excellent place to trade them in is at a coin show. There's usually more than one person buying silver, so you can shop around.

Alternatively hang around here until you have reached 50 quality posts and try the forum. 11.5x face seems to be the going rate amongst dealers in my area. You could probably get closer to 95% melt smaller amounts i.e. by the roll on fleaby but then you have fees to take into account.
