Should be easy to match on the Cud site. Nice.

Possible early evolution of a larger Cud following along the extended crack. Thanks, Doug.

Thanks everyone, I'm still a rookie on this, I posted a dime a couple of days ago, I want to say it also has die cracks but it's underneath the lettering, I don't know the process of how coins are made, can someone help me out.

Yes of course we will. Every time you read a post or post a coin, you learn a little bit at a time. There are dies that strike blank planchets. Once struck, the planchet is a coin. Everything on the die that is recessed, becomes relief on the coin. Everything on the die in relief is recessed on the coin. Just think of a piece of clay. Push a penny in it. In this example the clay is the "coin" the penny is the "die". If there is a recessed crack in the "die", there is a crack in relief on the clay. If there is a recessed chip in the die, there is a relief chip on the clay. If there is doubling on the die, there is doubling on the clay.
