After doing further research I believe it is an Umayyad fals.

Anyone know the mint and date?

@marketeer, I'm honestly a little out of my depth here, but it is my understanding that the Umayyads did not strike much for copper coins, and those that they did tended to be small diameter and fairly thick. Here is a website with some information:

I don't see a coin which is much of a match for yours unfortunately. Furthermore, I don't have a better lead for you.
