I picked this guy at a local coin show last weekend. The repunching is the strongest and most wide example I have found. It practically jumped out at me and is quite visible to the naked eye. I mostly look for Lincoln Cent varieties but I may start looking over 2 Cent pieces a little more now.

The Two Cent series is a rabbit hole of varieties, there are around 30-40 RPDs in 1864 & 1865 alone.

You will want Kevin Flynn's Authoritative guide to Two Cent Pieces, and if you can find them (both now out of print) Frank Leone's Longacre's Two Cent Piece and his 1864 Two Cent Attribution Guide either book runs around $50+ when they come available.

Really cool find. That re-punching is the strongest I've ever seen. Was he seller selling it as a RPD?

No, it was listed as a normal 1864. Super nice score.

I'm not sure if I did or not. I don't purchase them often so I'm not familiar with their market value. But I paid $55 and the coin is probably high AU.
