1982-D Small Date?

Just found this in the 2nd roll tonight. Looks like the small date..... Bottom of the "2" curves out. Am I right?

You are correct - that is small date. I don't know what you mean by "curves out", but what I use is to see how close the "2" gets to the rim. You'll notice that your '2' is not close to the rim. The Large date '2' will be much closer to the rim.

When you find a Large Date one, you'll also notice that the numbers are much "fatter" on the Large date.

Yes that is a small date. The curve in the lower part of the 2 is the same diagnostic that I use.

The 1982 small date/large date cents are the easiest to tell apart. Use the images posted here:
