Strange looking '5' in the date of the 1905 M.
?Recut date?

Tiny amount of wear on the high points on the reverse of both:
St George's helmet, horses head and shoulder, sword blade, nose and shoulder of dragon.

Just a tiny bit short of some sort of MS grade

Attractive examples
