What do you call the accumulations on the antlers? The 2x2 I bought it in has them labeled as die chips.

die plating has come off?
or maybe a small spot of corrosion on the die?

I see some on the Caribou's shoulder
by the 5 in the date. A couple blobs.

Possible die plating issue.

"mud patches" as Hans Zoell would say. Some die plating has chipped off.
