here is a couple of images of the Canadian fifty cent coin. that show doubling on the obverse plus die trails.

doubling around the rim on both sides. plus doubling on the Queens chin. there is die trails coming off some of the letters on the obverse. any thoughts thank you

The chin looks like MD and I believe the "trails" are a plating issue, not a trail die, which is specific to the die. The rim, maybe an alignment issue? Let's see what others say.

checked this coin closely with a microscope. there is alot of doubling go on with this coin.

To me it looks like Machine Doubling and your coin was also struck when the die was on its last leg. So what you are seeing on D-G-REGINA are actually die flow lines. To tell for sure though, I would like to see a closer image of the areas that you think have doubling.

The lines on the letters and ribbon are not die trails. I remember seeing it referred to it as "die burn" and is common on early MPPS coins. Most likely an effect of die wear. The 2001 Volunteer dimes are an example of this, easier to find those with than without.

thank you so much. I have found some thing a lot more interesting on this series of coins. I am going to send 3 coins away to get certified. where would be the best place to get errors certified. these errors are very apparent. any suggestion greatly appreciated. need help I need these certified.
