Rackster Pillar of the Community United States 4809 Posts	Posted 06/13/2016 2:24 pm I think so too Thad. It helped me cap my spending based on what I was seeing with these two specimens. Based on grade and the general appearance of the coin (eg where the blemishes were and their severity) along with prices paid there and online ( ebay) I was able to get comfortable. They usually have 2-3 pictures there. Then, if you scroll down, you can see complete auction listings.....usually ha.com, which, as you know, has excellent pictures. Lincoln Cent Lover! Rackster Pillar of the Community United States 4809 Posts	Posted 06/13/2016 7:53 pm Thank you for that tip. I was using the photo images of the coins (cents) to help train the eye. But I actually found the HA slabbed specimens most helpful since they offer a range of looks within a grade. Helps to define the areas where a ding is better accepted and where a ding is less accepted. That said, the group here really do a nice job of dialing in. Really, not even ball-parking. They are usually within a point on a graded coin...at worst. Report this Post to the Staff

He even shows me submissions, the final grades and the rejects. I find the rejected coins the most interesting! Lincoln Cent Lover!
