1879 S Morgan VAM Help. (Narrowed Down To Three)

MontCollector Pillar of the Community United States 2403 Posts	Posted 06/09/2016 03:05 am I tried looking up the VAM on my 1879S Morgan this evening. I have narrowed it down to three possibilities. It's either VAM-15, VAM-20, or VAM-73. The problem is I cant tell if the MM is slanted slightly and cant see the doubling in the date. However these are the only VAMs I can find with the die chips under the "18" in the date. Look below date to see die chips below "18"(shiny spots) on whole coin picture. Is date doubled? Is this a slanted MM? I could be way off on my guesses, but my hunch is it is one of these. Any opinions welcome as to which one it may be. Thanks...Mont. Report this Post to the Staff
