These pics are better than before , the size is much better. The obverse photo is just the slightest bit fuzzy , making the hair details near the ear hard to see. According to my info the 1885-P is usually an above average strike, so...If the pics are hiding some detail there, it could be an MS coin. From what I see in these pics it appears to be an AU coin.

I will assume you are using a camera since you didn't say scans.I don't know what color background you are using, if it is white - notice the blueish color of the background in the pics- the white balance could use adjustment. For grading pictures I usually try to make them as bright as I can without washing out any detail, and I also tweak the contrast to bring out more detail. It takes alot of practice to get decent pictures, I have several hundred and still cannot get them all right every time. I take several pics , turning the coin sometimes in the light , adjusting exposures, etc. then pick the clearest ones and trash the rest. Gotta love digital cameras ! Try the coin photography forum , there is alot of useful information and alot of pic to look at.

Judging from the pics, I would venture a MS grade, but the level would need clearer photos. Like infinite said, it seems a little fuzzy. It's almost as if you're actually trying to get too close to the coin, and losing some focus ability. If this is true, you may find that you will get better pics by moving your camera farther away, and cropping and resizing. Photo editing software will be able to bring it closer for us without losing as much detail as a bad focus. You will definitely need a tripod, and also a timer setting on the camera to avoid all vibration.

My suggestion, unless it's what you're already doing:

1. Tripod
2. Timer setting
3. Put coin at least 8 inches away and only zoom closer to the level the camera can still focus on it's own and be happy. Usually not very much zoom.

Bottom line, I think folks usually try to get really close to a coin for good pictures, and they are actually sacrificing the capabilities of their camera at that point.

Getting better fiddler ! Much crisper details in this set of pictures, and a bit lighter. My eyes are not what they once were so I will still say they are a bit small. I see much better detail in the hair near the ear , but there looks to be quite a few contact marks on the facial area. Since that is a prime focal area, the grade will suffer alot for those. I don't see any wear on the eagle's breast feathers, and the reverse seems to have alot less marks. Overall a nice looking coin that I would grade at MS-62.

One thing about toned coins- I try to get the best detail I can for the grading pictures and not worry about color accuracy . If I feel that the color needs to be seen I will take a third picture , holding the coin at different angles to the light . Works well, but usually means parts of the coin are out of focus , so not to good for grading. I know there is a Kb limit on picture downloads, with my 8MP camera I crop the pic and resize to about 480 X 480, that seems to keep them under 100Kb. Keep trying, we all love to see pictures of coins !!

I don't see any wear, if that isn't MS, it is really close. Like Infinate said, the dings on the face are distracting, but overall, a nice coin. I like the toning.

Sometimes you have to sacrifice some quality for size, to make the pictures a bit bigger. You just have to mind the happy medium in there that gives you sufficient quality and size. Usually the quality that you sacrifice is almost unnoticeable, IMO.
