I hope these go up in value, although, I like collecting coins. I'm brand new and I never thought I would get into coin collecting. Its very addictive.

I use my tip money to buy new coins. Any advice would be welcome.

bought them from APMEX if that is any help. I bought about $100 from JMBullion before I read the reviews and stopped buying from there.

The best advice I have to offer is to focus on buying coins that you will truly enjoy having as part of your collection over the long haul and not because you expect them to quickly go up in value.

It is an unfortunate truth that many coins do not go up in value; some actually go down in value over time. That is why I suggest buying coins that you truly like - their value in that respect will likely always remain!

Commems is giving you good advise. Have fun collecting but don't think of it as a way to make money. It's not, even hot selling coins soon get forgotten and go down in value within the year. Instead think of it as you're spending money on something you truly like - the pride and joy of a nice collection that holds special meaning to you.

Many collectors buy directly from Royal Canadian Mint ( RCM) at issue price and they also do ship to the US. Others are more patient and wait for prices to fall later. ebay is another buying option, several major dealers list items there as well (Gatewest, Colonial Acres to name a couple.) The value of your US dollar works in your favour!
