You can put all the make up on a pig, it still is a pig. the x4x coins are never going to be sold for numismatic value (other than the 1st coin) only the face value.
my comment was that for a similar $ amount you were getting 4x the silver.

The x for x coins are like getting a roll of any new circulating coins at face value at the bank, they are never meant to be anything else, unless you believe the RCM will stop redeeming them, it's like having a 1/4 oz. 20.00 bill.

Strange , been like 3 years and didn't know it existed lol. You didn't dig a site http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/...FORUM_ID=143But it understandable, since not all have the time for the website researches.... Btw, Colonial Acres already has in stock some amount of the new Superman "Shield" coins, secured for their customers. According to the picture (only), the box is superman-theme coloured and has a some paper (card?) on top of it. While the tube has special superman-themed sticker. https://www.colonialacres.com/produ...f-tax-exemptCDN 28 onlyFunny to think, that for the same in 2013 (plus colour and polish here and there and fancy acrylic case we paid CDN 100+ ) ( if the sticker and box have low mintage, they might be popular)

Definitely picking up at least one from a dealer hopefully at the Brantford Coin Show this weekend if they're in stock.
It probably won't be too long before a gilded version comes out from Europe which would fall into the numismatic/collector coin category.

No purpose for Privy marks, let alone Superman, on bullion other than appeal to the numismatic market such as in the US. ..... Defining The Line Between Precious Metals and Numismatics By Jay Rudo A question that collectors often ask is what makes a coin bullion and what makes a coin numismatic. There are a lot of different factors involved to answer this question and this article will look at many of them. Having spent a career dealing in both rare coins and bullion I feel I can offer a lot of perspective on the subject. There are times that a coin that is designed to trade as bullion but catches the collector's interest and some very interesting things happen. The classic example of bullion coins becoming numismatic is the Silver Eagle program started by the US mint in 1986. These coins are .999 fine 1 ounce silver coins struck in uncirculated and proof condition. The US Mint never designed the uncirculated coins to be collector coins but as a vehicle to buy bullion. They do not even offer them directly to the public but instead they are sold to large Mint distributors who in turn sell them to investors, coin dealers, and bullion dealers. From the silver eagle program's inception they became a favorite with coin collectors. Collectors bought them in massive quantities....... (more at) http://www.coinweek.com/featured-ne...numismatics/

All true.... And the people as well see collectibles from different angles: Some like design, some chase rarity, some go with specific theme. For sure many agree: when it too much of quantity or too much variety - becomes not good. The resent example : The Queen's Beasts bullion seems will beat by their beauty many of these numismatic endless 2ozs with limited mintage antique finish and high relief. Or our first three 20for20 way better than many of numismatic similar specs coins....

Quote: Wait a min, its already been done... In this case, the enchantments was officially done by RCM, they even published the video (personally seen it on reveal event on Dundas square). But for sure we will see other enhancements by 3-rd party - "burning", "flames", "ice", "energy", "batman sign" - all variety in limited mintage.

Recently I went to a Burton Cummings concert in Edmonton - most of you would recognize the name. He mentioned he's turning 69 this year. Anyway my point, he performed the entire absolutely excellent concert wearing a Superman logo badge on his jacket and on his shirt were also three images - Batman, Spider-Man and I think the 3rd was the Hulk. It make me chuckle.....
