So did anyone order one of these coins? I had an opportunity to order one last night but declined.

I was tempted to buy one but I didn't. The mintage should've been lower, to at least 1500. The Murano glass is overdone imo, putting it on a bigger coin isn't much of a change. I will be saving for the Star Trek coins.

Could be a big hit really, 2000 mintage is low for a "Glass" coin even at $500 plus.
People are paying $1000 plus for the 5000 mintage lady bug glass coin.... who knows, I wont be buying one , but I don't have any of the other glass coins left, anyone who has the series might jump all over these.

Yup I did on Monday!! I like odd looking coins especially big ones. I also picked up the Master Club Polar Bear coin. And, let me share with you how awesome the mini suitcase is for that vintage plane subscription! Talk about innovative. I just received it with the second coin in this 3 coin series. I buy what I like.

I got one. Can't wait to receive it. I wasn't too sure but decided to pull the trigger anyway. There's no 5oz left but still some Master Club Polar Bear left on the mint website.

Hmmmm...did we miss it? This is actually RCM First 5oz with Murano Glass. Could it will go like a Ladybug or Voyageur? Yes, I believe the dealers will offer only 50% issue for it, but might be it will be very hot. The release night at dealers, Talisman and CP could be last hope to get it not overpriced much.

I got one even more exclusive than the 5oz Murano. Looks better too.

As I pointed out in the other thread, 5 oz coins have not done that well. 2000 mintage is high compared to the 1500 mintage of the Big Coins and none of them re-sold for a very high premium.
Buy this coin only if you like it, I doubt it is very flippable for a number of reasons, the least being it is not a very attractive coin.
People should not put too much emphasis on "sold out" at the mint. It means absolutely nothing because we don't the allocation to other dealers. For all we know, the mint could only have a few hundred of them and the rest sold to dealers.

Personally, I couldn't care less how much it's going for on ebay, I really like the coin and was able to get it from the mint. I have a maple leaf collection going and this coin will fit nicely.
