Hi All,

I cannot believe we are already this far through the month of June...

I had a bit of fun variety hunting a box of small dollar coins this past weekend. I mean if you get lemons you might as well make lemonade, right Beyonce?

Case and point. I thought I was ordering large dollar coins, but when the order came in, I was looking at a $1k box of small dollar coins. Oh well. Can't inconvenience the bank just because they weren't what I wanted.

I really hadn't heard of this variety until this weekend, but I was glad to add an example to my collection.

Happy Hunting!

The 1980 and 81 have are all wide rims. Just the wide rim 1979-P Dollars are the premium coin:

Wow that's a lot more info than I had ever wanted to know about small dollars. It is interesting to see that the SBA is being treated like BF Halves. In terms of how clear the strike is on the reverse. Full talons on the dollar vs. full bell lines on the half.

Perhaps it is a good idea to start keeping an eye out for those as well... :)
