It's a 2008 Canadian Dime on a planchet almost twice as thick and weighing-in at 2.7g versus 1.8 for a normal dime.

I did not realize that this coin had been previously posted. I purchased this coin today and put it on the forum not realizing that the seller had posted it before. It is the same coin, so that is why the same photos. I was not at home to scan my own photos at the time.

I wasn't able to find the sold listing. Do you have a link to it?

This coin was not on E-bay. It was a private purchase from someone who contacted me about selling it.I will be taking it to the RCNA Convention in Ottawa in July to show it to a couple of people.

It's like the only kind of error escaping the RCM, still cool but on a dime 200 to 300 bucks, go to M r. Glassford website you will match up the other nations coin planchet.

I posted this reply on the other thread regarding this error. I have one of those too as pictured below. Mine weighs 2.64 grams or 40.7 grains and much thicker than normal dime. I think it's struck on a Oman 25 Baisa planchet, which Canada struck that year. The one shown beside the dime weighs 40.9 grains, virtually the same weight as the dime pictured and is also dated 2008. The technical diameter of the Baisa is 18MM while the Canadian dime is 18.3MM, so the Baisa planchet, as slightly smaller, would easily fit into a dime collar. Here are images of the one I have.

My research with the coin in hand leads me to believe that it was the Oman blank that was used for this coin. I have just tracked down one of the 2008 Oman coins and will await for it to arrive so that I can compare the two coins
