I already posted this on the grading forum but this appears to be a snow variety . I see repunching on the 8 and 5.

This definitely looks like an RPD, but I could find nothing in my attribution guide that matches your coin exactly. There are many RPD's for the date and this might be one found after my edition was published. Maybe someone else can help, but, if not, it might be worth sending your coin to Snow. There are new varieties found quite regularly.

I believe this is it. If I'm reading it right, it should be a Snow 5.

I believe you are correct. Date position and other markers point to that variety. Somehow, I missed it while scrolling through Snow's guide.

Thanks.
How much of a premium would this variety carry?

with s-5. I am not familiar with the premiums that these carry, but I know that some bring pretty good premiums.

I don't think that is an easy question to answer and die variety pricing has come up before in this forum.

Snow gives your coin a 2 star rating which means it should have a premium 2-3 times that of a non variety. But even Snow agrees that this is highly variable and I would not depend on getting that premium.

Normally, you could check completed sales from places like ebay, Heritage, etc. but sales info on varieties sometimes is very limited.

Normally, the rarer the variety the higher the premium, but other factors may come into play also. Varieties with dramatic doubling, widely spaced repunched digits, overdates etc. will carry a higher premium than less conspicuous varieties

So, basically what I would do if I have a variety with little or no pricing information available, I would come up with a value without the premium and then attach a premium that I think is reasonable looking at all the factors mentioned above. Then it is a matter of finding the right buyer.
