Is there value to this coin? The "Liberty" device is affected.

It could be a misaligned die. Can you post a pic of the reverse?

The reverse looks ok. So, I'm guessing from your question that if only one side of the coin is affected, then it is a mis-aligned die. Interesting. Is there any value to MAD?

There is only value to a misaligned die when the devices are affected. Yours falls right into that category. There was just a thread where a guy found one with his son. Here's the link

I agree. The left side of the reverse is weak because of the miss-alignment of the hammer die. When you see this weakness opposite the off center obverse, then it is a collectable.

Sometimes there are no devices that fall over the edge because of location of the devices on the coin. But you will see the weakness on the opposite side of the obverse offset area. So seeing this weakness assures us that it is collectable.
