Neither of your coins look like the doubled ear. This is what the doubled ear for 1984 should look like.

I think both of those cents took a hit on the ear. I'm not entirely sure though. But they both show some flatness on the ear lobe that makes me think they got hit.

They got hit by another coin or something else.. Also known as a contact mark. Say there are a bunch of coins in a bag or in someones pocket. Then the bag is dropped and coins are landing on each other and hitting each other.
