I cut this one out so that I could image it for the 7070 thread, but I also wanted to run it past you all too see what you thought it might grade and if it is worthy of sending it in to a TPG?If so which one?

Looks really nice, only concern are the lines that appear SE of Kennedy's ear. If in hand they don't look like you thumbprint, you are probably good.
I don't want to get your hopes up, but that may be the accented hair variety. If it is, I would say it is worth getting slabbed.
Either way I think 68 from the photos, unless that is a thumbprint.

I don't have the experience to do any grading, but that is one beautiful coin. My inexperienced opinion, it should grade very high.

Wow, what a beauty. Not experienced with Kennedy halves - could those be die polishing lines?

You'll also notice the lines NW of the ear, looks to be part of the design (or atleast the die) maybe?

Looks to be a solid PR-68, with a shot at 69. Awesome coin, i'd send it in.

Nice coin that would only be worth grading if it was the accented hair variety (since it's not a cam) and it doesn't look accented to me. Still a very nice one.

Thanks BigSilver! The lines You see are part of the design,I believe. If you were to go too PCGS Coinfacts and, click on accented hair(AH),you will see the same lines on the AH coin.Although,I don't think this one to be an AH,just a well struck normal Kennedy. The four lines, just above the ear,the far left line curls back to the right at the top.On Mine it doesn't.I think it has the same reverse though, with the broken rays at the stars, above UNUM.

Thanks RCook! I know what I like, but,I'm not good at grading.Especially the higher end ones, where just a little tick or nick can bring it down a grade or so.Anyhow thanks for looking.

Looks real nice, maaybe PF 68-69, but without the accented hairline variety, I suggest just putting in an air-tite. It is beautiful, but not worth enough to send it off.

If the serif is what it looks like (missing some) then it is a Accented Hair and worth sending in,

I can not tell so you need to look that up, if it is , send it in, if not do not send it in.

Could be accented hair but not sure. If it hits 69 which I think it could it would be worth sending it in, it just depends if you want to take the risk or not. Also, Child of the wheat, I don't like going on PCGS price guide because the prices are inflated. Both of my local coin stores will buy coins at 65% of what Priceguide says.

I only go off priceguide if you are selling on ebay or selling to an individual collector.

I know its inflated, but we are talking about if its slabbed by PCGS not a raw coin

Plus, I have a feeling it could get a CAC sticker if it was sent in. this is one clean half!

If your stores are buying at 65% of PCGS Priceguide then you've got a goldmine to pillage. Most people can't sell coins at 65% of that Priceguide these days!

That is what I needed, you are right it is not an AH. Therefore it is tough to send in, a lot of these Kennedy's look fantastic...you would be surprised.
