Anyone know what caused this to happen?

It looks like Lincoln's head on the reverse is indented, but the monument on the obverse is not.

Yep. Thanks Canada. I didn't know what a die clash was, even though I'd heard of it before, I get so caught up in looking for DDO's that I didn't pay attention to things like this.

One of the nicest clashed dies seen in a while. Though showing some spots and finger prints, then possible split plating along the rim.

Protect it as best you can. Place in a 2x2 coin flip or better for protection. Thanks, Doug.

Actually it is a triple event die clash (three clashes close together). If possible, I would like to put this one on MADdieclashes.com. Please PM me your permission to use your images and your name.

Thanks.

BJ, of course you may use the images, and my name is Mitch Siegert (from Bryan, TX) and thank you for the interest in it.
I can't PM someone (or I don't know how).
