I revoke my cleaned designation. Looks like what a VF-30 circulated gold coin should look like.

I see that many of these coins after 1866 are truly rare and sell for very low prices. Is this because the coins did not circulate or just lack of interest?

and its the only ever at that grade for PCGS now. the last one that went at auction was 2010 NGC VF30 for $978 at HA

I'd say you have an FMV of $1,200 to $1,400 on this coin. PCGS VF35's went at HA and Stacks 2008/2012 for $1,955 and $1,840 respectively.

Pleasantly surprised that according to PCGS the survival estimate for all grades is only 90 and the rarity rating is 8.1
