Hey everyone,

What grade would you assign this coin? How much do you think it would be worth?

It is hard to see the details of the coin clearly but I'd say it was in the VF range. I paid a little under $200 for a problem free 1835 NGC VF35 recently. So with it being raw and with a really ugly dent probably under $100. Maybe $80 or so? Just a guess.

A dent like that is analagous to a hole. Plus it has been cleaned. Typically, a coin like this is worth 10-20% of problem-free value. I think this coin is worth $150 problem-free, so I'd say $15-30 as is.
Rest in Peace

I would not buy it. This is a damaged coin. Wait for a better deal. IMHO
