Had to answer, since if it's something I actually believe I'm obviously not aware that it's only a "myth." For example, I have been told that the main reason the design of the Standing Liberty quarter was changed in 1917 was due to the public outcry against the original design's bare breasts. I believe this to be true, but I suppose it could just be a myth and the real reason for the change is something completely different. If there are so many myths out there that you know of, why not list some or all of them and then asks who still believes in them?

The way you phrase it makes it very hard to answer. You are asking for something we currently believe that is a myth. For the most part you just believe something until you are shown it isn't the case. You get into the realm of conspiracy theory when you actively believe something after being shown evidence it is a myth.
Easier to answer might be "what is a myth you used to believe about numismatics?"
For that question I could say that growing up I always assumed the famous 1804 silver dollars were made in 1804. It wasn't until I got back into the hobby several years ago that I discovered they weren't made until three decades later and were never intended for circulation.

@Barryg the Coin World magazine a few months back had an article about the SLQ type 1 quarter I can't remember exactly the reason but I think it was more along the lines of a combination of "it was war time and the bare breast seemed more submissive or weak" and also I think the designer's preference as well. Was very interesting I just wish I remembered it lol

Not sure it counts as a myth, but I believe there are a few 1933 double eagles out there that had actually been acquired (semi-)legitimately.
(There are reasons to suspect that the ten 1933 double eagles involved in the recent court case were, in fact, perhaps stolen, or at least acquired relatively illegally, though it's not very certain in either direction - I'm talking about coins actually acquired in the reasonably proper way in the brief time when it might have been possible to do it legally. I've read a description - can't recall where - of someone going to a bank in early 1933 to get some double eagles and seeing the 1933 dated coins, and being told that those coins aren't supposed to be given out yet. Maybe someone did persuade the bank teller.)

I suspected as much, jbuck, which is why I mentioned it as an example. So there's one numismatic myth I used to believe until just a few minutes ago. No idea if there are any other myths I still believe, however...

Oh -- one numismatic myth I believed growing up but now know to not be true is that if you were to drop a cent from the top of the Empire State Building and it hit somebody on the head, it would travel with enough force to pass all the way through the person's body and embed itself into the concrete below him.

That is a good one. And for what it is worth, I also believed the Hussy Quarter myth until Sap and Conder made those posts.

barryg -- I heard the same one when I was growing up.
How about:
Find a penny Pick it up All day long It will bring you luck.
I've also heard that it's good luck to pick up a penny that is heads up but it is bad luck to pick up a penny that is tails up.
(If I see a coin on the ground -- I pick it up no matter which way it's facing.)

The only myth I believe in is that someday I will own a MS-63 1909-S VDB LWC.
