So I went to a coin show this afternoon, didn't see what I was looking for and just as I was about to walk out empty-handed, I won this door prize:

1964-Canadian-Silver-Dollar-Question

It's in what looks to be an original cellophane wrapper, and the nice gentleman who handed it to me said it was a "proof 1964 Canadian Dollar." I know zilch about Canadian coins, did a quick Google and still remain clueless—would this indeed be a proof, or proof-like? How does one tell the difference?

your coin is a proof like strike, many were struck and it is basically a bullion value coin, although it is a great piece with a lot of beauty.

Nothing, just a crease in the cellophane.

You ended up with a great door prize, I've got 2 of these beauties and I love everything about them, from the dimensions to the design to the history.
