I hope the mods don't mind, not quite on topic, but this article so resembles that of markers of Cdn coin and currency except it's about us compared to our cousins down south....

I think so too eh! Reminds me of a vacation to the States, just was waiting around for a family member to finish whatever they were doing, sitting on a street bench, started chatting with an American lady, she asked me where I was from and so forth, otherwise just general chit chat. Without even realizing I must have unintentionally said "eh" because she caught me by total suprise when she suddenly stood up and yelled very loudly "Canadians, they really do say EH"!" It left me feeling somewhat like a specimen under a microscope....LOL!

An idea for RCM, to commemorate the "eh".

I've been captive North of the border here now for 19 years and still have not changed my Okie speech pattern. Everything that I say still remains 100% American. I did, however, two years ago while announcing a Canadian Tour Golf Tournament at our home course, say the following: "How ya'l doing, eh?" as they walked up to the tee. I still haven't lived it down.

Old-school Canadians would know Tim Horton's jersey number. Many of these hipsters don't know anything about it. The spot where Mackenzie formed the militia to ward off an American invasion is being turned into a mini-mall. Canada has no identity.
