The E is not the result of a variety, it is a mutilation. I won't go into it in more detail on a family friendly forum. Drop me an email if you want further explanations.

What I ment was --is it N1,2,3,4,5,etc and yes the E was a flaw or damage --so I guess it is damaged

Deliberate damage.

As to the actual variety from the date position I can tell it is either a N-4 or N-5 (Both R-1 varieties) but that is the best I can do from the images.
