Lovely normal doubling of all the whole date--check the 5 and last 8.

Ok, yeah. Was wondering why the 8 inside the 8 was more prominent than outside.

Would it be worth sending back to NGC for a regrade on the Variety..? Graded as AU50, value right now without double 1858 is around $200.00 - Just curious.

Depends on what you want to do with the coin, if you plan to keep long haul, probably not, if you long term collection is going NGC, maybe yes, planning to sell soon, maybe yes.

Not sure on premium for that variety, or if someone will pay an extra $50+ for it. I am not sure if it is lighting or not, but the coin looks cleaned.

Absolutely not a 5 over first 8-----no "horns". Look at the 1---I see tripling which would explain the multiple 8's.

PurelyWasted - Yes wanting to sell sooner than later, Graded AU50 by NGC (Not Cleaned) and I hear ya about the extra $50 but with nice pics maybe a little more than Trends for that Grade.

Lambecolin - Didn`t think it was a 8 over 5 variety because yeah no horns, no diecrack, etc. Don`t know all the markers. But I am seeing more than one 8 for sure. I would probably have to choose the description between the Double 1858 or Triple 8 because I don`t think they will list 1858/1858 + Triple 1st 8. I think the Double 1858 is more significant than a Triple 8 with this coin but not totally sure about it. Haven`t come across either before.
