here are some close ups. can you tell me what type of doubling this is. I will share a photo of my monitor it is 32 inches. when I check coins this is what I see. I can blow it up even bigger. now next month I will purchase a 40 inch monitor, that is 4K. so image how easy it will be to find errors. set back in my chair and just watch the screen. you can check them. as fast as you can push them through both sides. I am getting to old to stare through a microscope. this makes it so much more easier.any help appreciated

I'm afraid that's plain old Machine Doubling. The problem is that when you up the size and resolution of your monitor like that, you're going to see much more artefact, e.g., seeing shadows that look like doubling, or Machine Doubling that looks like doubled die products.

I've stopped using my dig. micro. I found that it creates more questions than answers . If I can't see it at
8x or 10x mag. then its probably not what I thought
it to be .
And Rocky I here ya . The eye's aren't what they used to be

so this is Machine Doubling. ok I worked pressing electrical wire.when ever we got a doubling. that was always caused by the press motor. that does not always happen every time you would run the press. so that would mean. this is die doubling. caused by the press right. see I would not see any different. where it is wire or coins. we pressed at 100 tons on an H press. every once an a while we would get a doubling. for what ever reason. we would just press over the doubling again. that would remove the doubling. so here the press causes the die to strike twice, Machine Doubling. where the metal has started to cool. plus it now harden from the original first strike. that is why you would see the different levels as doubling. ok got it thank you all for that. I understand now.
