Hi,
Could anyone help to identify this fragement of an medeival brakteat? I got it together with other medivela Hungarian coins. Diameter 12 mm. Weight 0.10 gram.

@wallet, that is a tough one. My best guess is a brakteat of Schongau, Bavaria made between 1268 and 1294 AD (attribution is Bonhoff 1946). If you look below, you can see an image of an intact coin one and then the same image that I have selectively cropped and rotated to make it similar to your coin fragment. Not a great match I'm afraid.

Thanks spence. I'm not totally convinced but it's close and it's really a challange to find out. If anyone have another idea I would be grateful.
