Guy came to me in museum and brought a picture of a coin (or medallion) for identification. He found the coin somewhere in the field in central Bosnia and Herzegovina, thats all the info I have.

Some sort of religious token, almost certainly Catholic. Probably carried for protection--growing up in a Catholic household, I was not allowed to drive without a Saint Christopher medal on my visor. Easy to see how such a medal could be lost while walking from place to place.

It looks to be modern.

The abbreviations in Latin should represent some religious text then.
