Hi guys,
I just found this ugly bugger, 1875H Penny
After a quick browse on the interwebs, It seems it might be a "scarce" coin.
I am wondering if it has any value even in this condition?
The other side is about the same.

Thankingly kindly

My LCS had one in about the same condition (now sold) for £13 a few months ago and I thought that was a reasonable price though I didn't buy it.

1875H is very scarce and I've seen specimens that are so worn that the date and mintmark are about the only features left. £13 seems about right. I used to have one that had two holes in it!

I like seeing post like this .. gives me more coins to
watch for.

I wonder what the chance would be, that there might be
coins like this sitting in foreign coin bins, in the
United States.

Thanks guys,
any profit is a good one, although I don't think I will sell. I now have all three varieties of the 1875 penny.

GR58 I think there would be a good chance of finding one sitting in a foreign bin. I found this in Australia for a couple of bucks, listed as just an 1875 penny.

I just received the coin in person. I have to say it's even better in hand than I thought after viewing the original photos (that I posted here)

would you suggest I do anything to prevent the (red)verdgris from spreading? it is very thin and on certain angles you don't even see it.

it pays to look close at ebay listings :)
