Slabbed Ikes are so reasonable too even in high registry grades for the most part.
Now a lot of these coins in this set just don't change hands that often like the MS69's and such, but even in high registry type grades Ikes can be very affordable. You aren't going to build a number one overall set with affordable coins and probably not many affordable coins will CAC like this collection did, but you can still build a great Ike set on a relatively small budget.
Probably one of the best starter registry sets I can imagine. Probably the first one I tackle if I ever get around to it.
Here are some charts I compiled for the key date 1973 Silver Ikes in Proof and Business Strike near the end of June.
Each yellow dot is one actual sale in that month. Five layers of yellow dots makes a solid color. You kind of get a heat map of transaction prices that way.

Note that many of the coins in the collection for sale haven't been sold on all of
ebay in the past 3 months showing how (conditionally) rare some of these guys really are.
Also note how reasonable the key date is even in registry type grades. Sure there are conditional rarities and the like driving value outside of date and mint mark but you can grab a nice PR69 1973 Silver for no more than $40 if you hunt for it.
