Ill try this again..sorry, but NO PICS. -Last weekend I purchased a G-VG 1922D cent from my local coin dealer. He had maybe 10 or so in a 2*2 box of Lincolns. I looked through them all looking for the the one with the weakest mint mark. The one I purchased had a very faint mint mark(a variety worth a premium) for $15. I looked it up in my Red Book, and it turns out this coin is worth $35+. Was my coin overlooked by the dealer? Has anyone had luck finding overlooked(cherrypicked) coins?
And can anyone give me tips on rare varieties I have a chance of finding that are worth looking for? -PP
