Typical slippage while being rolled between the edge dies, or possibly the Castaining machine was not retracted fully to the starting point before they rolled the blank. In either case it is a common occurrence.

Probably slippage because Half A Dollar is all on one die so starting in the wrong position wouldn't affect that.

Yeah pretty common and nothing to worry about. I think we would more like to see pictures of the "other" 2 sides of the coin. I love attributing Draped and Capped Bust halfs.
