Hi all,

I recently purchased this coin from a seller named "marksdavis" from "AB Antiquo Coins and Antiquities" based out of the UK and I have his business card. He is guaranteeing that this coin is authentic but I would like another expert to verify this please because the edge looks a bit strange to me?

How can you differentiate a REAL edge vs. a FAKE edge?

He listed the weighed as 13.92g and 25mm. I scaled it at 14g and 25mm but my scale is old and may not be as accurate.

what do the experts think? any info is appreciated! (sorry about the pictures all I have is my phone, if you need more let me know)

I have bought from this seller and believe the coin is authentic. The edge does seem to have a line in the middle but may be from polishing the coin.

The line around the edge concerns me. I wouldn't take a chance on this one.

So hard to tell from pics alone but I think I am inclined to give this the benefit of the doubt. Nothing I see screams fake and if anyone else can vouch for the seller (unknown to me) then I think it is probably genuine.
The Nemausus dupondius is fairly common in France, I have seen many on ebay that look to be 'finds' by detectorists who scavenge about the countryside.

Of course the fake lists have a few listings also ! But unless you find a match I think you are okay.
