Hello,

This is my first post here, so I hope I am placing this in the correct forum. I have had this coin for years and have always wondered about the strange imprint on it. Any info you might have would be appreciated. Thanks!

It's called counterstamped. and it's a Mason symbol. The coins might have been stamped and handed out at meetings . People collect CS coins but they normally don't have any premium

There are a large number of these being sold by the roll on e-bay right now.
The last auction I was watching went for something like 4 cents a coin by the roll. Don't quote me on that.

I've also seen the ones with a bust of JFK in the same position.
