I am new to CCF and have an " inherited lot" of coins (not for this forum). As I have been trying to get a handle on the number of different forums, I have seen several discussions on the Sacagawea dollar.
Anyway - I have several mint rolls of 2000 P's. Though 3 of the rolls have the reverse showing at both ends of the roll, so I am not sure of the mint.
Yes, it's normal. The way coins are rolled it's entirely possible to have the obverse showing on both ends of the roll (or, like yours, the reverse). In fact it's a 1-in-4 probability.
What do the rolls look like? There are original mint rolls that were sold directly by the mint (some small premium) and there were companies that bought bulk lots of bags and put them in their own wrappers (little to no premium).
These rolls came directly from the bank and it is printed on them "Directly from the mint" (I believe, or something similar). I purchased them as soon as they were released. I can post a picture later, if you would like.
