I read the topic on: " Anyone Dealt with ernie", and mention was also made in reference to saulwww. My question is: Does anyone know who saulwww is? I have dealt with him years ago and I was happy with my purchase. Does anyone know if he has a web site?
Thanks, Martin

I've seen his listings and avoid as he overgrades or overprices or both.

How do you know, "he overgrades or overprices or both". All you say is "I've seen his listings and avoid".

It's pretty self-explanatory, I am of the opinion he overgrades and overprices because I can see his listings. For example:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...id=p3907.m29

is listed as Fine detail. It's maybe, maybe G-6, but I'd be more likely to call it G-4. A G-4 in an NGC slab just sold for $320 on Teletrade, so raw at $350 minimum bid or $385 Buy It Now, the coin is both overgraded and overpriced.

Or how about this one:

http://cgi.ebay.com/1928-P-MERCURY-...EM_W0QQitemZ a href= https://www.coincommunity.com/go/link.asp?target=https://www.ebay.com/itm/-/310025805273 target= _blank rel= nofollow https://www.coincommunity.com/go/link.asp?target=https://www.ebay.com/itm/-/310025805273 /a 310025805273QQihZ021QQcategoryZ41091QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItemhttp://cgi.ebay.com/1895-O-MORGAN-D...IL_W0QQitemZ a href= https://www.coincommunity.com/go/link.asp?target=https://www.ebay.com/itm/-/180218114501 target= _blank rel= nofollow 180218114501 /a QQihZ008QQcategoryZ139812QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

What, are we supposed to take his word for it?

Here's one:

http://cgi.ebay.com/1879-CC-MORGAN-...IL_W0QQitemZ a href= https://www.coincommunity.com/go/link.asp?target=https://www.ebay.com/itm/-/200202322971 target= _blank rel= nofollow 200202322971 /a QQihZ010QQcategoryZ39465QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

See if you can find some consensus as to whether that coin has "AUNC" detail. To me it looks XF-45 details cleaned/damaged/scratched which puts it (maybe) in the $400 range, not the $900 area.

You want more? How about:

http://cgi.ebay.com/1872-INDIAN-HEA...IL_W0QQitemZ a href= https://www.coincommunity.com/go/link.asp?target=https://www.ebay.com/itm/-/180218927320 target= _blank rel= nofollow 180218927320 /a QQihZ008QQcategoryZ41085QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Saulwww says the coin has a "few marks in obverse field." Do you think he means the little dig in front of her eye, or the huge scratch from the legend through her nose?

Would you rather I spent some of my hard-earned money and got burned by a seller before I made observations about his listings? With so many coins for sale in this big, big world, why is it hard to understand that I wouldn't want to waste my time wading through this seller's listings to try to find accurately graded, fairly priced coins?

Thanks for the additional data. It is still, only your opinion! I have seen items that I thought were close to beening "Right On". As in his: http://cgi.ebay.com/1934-S-PEACE-DO...CE_W0QQitemZ180219163684QQihZ008QQcategoryZ11980QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Hey, it's your money, you can spend it any way you want. A coin that is most likely accurately graded (by NGC, not saulwww) and is priced in the ballpark (an ANACS AU-58 recently sold for just over $800 on ebay) doesn't make someone a fair seller and is certainly not enough to get me to start looking at saulwww's listings again. He's just not worth my time and effort.

The 1934-S listing you bring up only confirms my suspicions. Saulwww sells graded coins, whether or not he's had them graded himself, so if he knows it's worth it to have a 1934-S Peace dollar graded AU-58, why not get the 'gemmy' 1928 full bands dime graded? It would be worth closer to $300 rather than the $90 he's trying to get for it.

As you said, it's my opinion, and as I said, it's your money, so if you'd like, I'd be happy to spend your money to see if my opinion is warranted, but there's no way I would risk my money even to prove my opinion justified. There are just too many decent sellers out there for me to bother with this one.

I took the liberty of blowing up the AUNC CC Morgan....

Anyone-Dealt-With--Saulwww-?

The hair above the ear sure looks worn flat to me. But that's my opinion of course.
