Is there someone who can help me with this one? Got it on an online auction well knowing that this could be a strange copy of some kind, but at the same time not a copy because it is not similar to anything I have seen searching the web.

I saw that something similar was posted on the forum some time back, but the photos were not there anymore. Would be interesting to know if the member who posted still have the photos.

The size of this one is 24mm, weight 2,5g
Thus I think it is larger than a 8 Maravedis and smaller than a 16 Maravedis...

Where we would expect HISPANIA it seems like it is spelled as HIPSANIV...

I generally only deal with the silver reales coinage... but I do now that contemporary counterfeits of these 1660s 8 and 16 maravedis piees were (are) rather common. This would certainly seem to be one.
