My noodling continues and although I have not found anything spectacular recently, I have noted what appears to be two dies used on the obverse of the 2015 MOR dollar coin . From my search on CCF, it appears that this has not yet been discussed.
I have attached a picture collage which shows this below.
It appears that the spacing between the rim and the date is greater on the left hand side coin. The spacing between the rim and the data is less on the right hand side coin. In addition the rim of the right hand side coin appears to be "chamfered" - ie it has an inward sloping edge.

I wonder if any other CCF members has noticed this.

Feedback is always appreciated

Squire

Slight variation in the position of the impression of the '5' on the working dies.

Mmmm. Nothing in mine. BUt I did find a Cud under the Queen's head. If there are any Cud collectors, (not me) I am happy to swap for another 2015 or 2016 dollar. There are strange marks on the coin as well, maybe only needing a clean but I don't want to go there

Thanks for the feedback
Actually, the difference in the spacing between the rim and the date is quite clear when you look at the coins through a magnifying glass. It is also clear when you look at this with "sharp eyes". However, it is a little more difficult to render using a camera...

Could you please explain "Slight variation in the position of the impression of the '5' on the working dies" sel_69l?. Do you mean that the two coins are from the same die but that one has a deeper impression than the other? Or that there are indeed two different working dies?
Thanks for clarifying this

Squire

I came across the TWO DIES, but from 2018. Also noted on the 2016 and will share here when I have enough for a better comparison.

I think what you are seeing is just a thicker rim on one coin giving the impression of a difference in distance of the lettering.
