1949-S Roosevelt Dime Grade And FB?

dw171 Valued Member United States 69 Posts	Posted 07/29/2016 11:29 pm Got this in a bag of dimes today fairly cheap. What do you think this one grades and does it qualify for FB? I'm not familiar with the Roosevelt FB designation, so I'm not sure what is and what isn't. Looking at the top grades for this date with FB on PCGS site makes this look like it would be FB. I suspect the lower horizontal band might be the deciding factor, i.e., would the depression (abrasion?) in the middle of the lower horizontal band disqualify the coin from the FB/FT designation? dd27 Pillar of the Community United States 666 Posts	Posted 07/30/2016 06:02 am I find it interesting that Whitman Publishing discounts the value of the Roosevelt dime Full Band/Full Torch designation: "Some with complete separation on the lower two bands have been called Full Torch (FT) or Full Bands (FB), but interest in this distinction seems to be minimal in today's marketplace." That sentence appears in the 2012 Grading Coins by Photographs, and in the 2016 Mega Red Book.
