I might try to make this one myself. It is certainly an easier trip than Raleigh.

If anyone else is going, I will be there for most of the day on Saturday. Maybe we can have all the CCF members that are going meet up somewhere. I dont think I've ever met a CCF member in person.

I clearly need to do a better job of keeping up with coin shows! Charlotte is my former home town; I'm only 2.5 hours away now; and two of my kids live there. I will be there! Thanks for posting the info, El Sr. Tres Mil. ~ Mark P.S. My rough Spanish for "Mr. Three Thousand." ;^]

Quote: Educational seminars on Saturday - 1:00pm Building a Charlotte Mint Gold Type Set - 2:00pm A Look at the 1875 Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence Medal - 3:00pm The Subtle Art of Cherrypicking Large Cents I just noticed that my favorite employee at my local coin store, Greg Capps, is doing the Subtle Art of Cherrypicking Large Cents presentation. He's a super nice guy, and has helped me learn more about the local coin collecting scene. Also, I'm sure some of you already know a lot about Charlotte Mint gold coins, but if you don't, and you would like to do a little reading in advance, I stumbled across this very helpful article recently: Quote:The Charlotte, North Carolina Mint (1838-1861) by Timothy O'Fallon How to Collect Charlotte Gold Coins http://www.gibraltarcoins.com/resou...te-mint.html See y'all in Charlotte! ~ Mark P.S. Not that I can afford to build a big collection of Charlotte gold coins, but they are fun to learn about!
